Th 21 Day Spiritual Recharge challenge and support group will offer encouragement and practical ideas to rejuvenate the spiritual life of mothers through refocusing on the basics – specifically the first three requisites of spiritual growth as outlined by Shoghi Effendi.
It will run Sunday 4 December to Saturday 24 December, 2016.
Read our note about it below!
Allah’u’abha friends!
It has been several years since we have posted on this website but we are happy and thrilled that so many parents and children’s class teachers are still using the articles and resources available here.
You might agree with us that being mothers to young children is extremely exhausting. We now have 7 kids from the ages of 1 and 8 between the two of us! We normally live in different countries (New Zealand and Australia) but are currently visiting one another for the next month. During this time we have decided to really and truly refocus on the basics of nourishing the soul… not just rushing through prayers or leaving them to the last minute before going to sleep to fulfill our obligations but aiming to give them the time and energy that they deserve.
As with many habits, it can take up to 21 days to really have it become fully integrated into your life. Therefore we have started a 21 day challenge to focus on:
(1) reciting an obligatory prayer with “pure-hearted devotion”,
(2) reading quotations with “reverance, attention and thought”, and
(3) meditating and reflecting on the implications of the Teachings “so that we may understand them more deeply, fulfil them more faithfully, and convey them more accurately to others.” (Full quotation can be read here.)
If you want to join us, we have created an online support group where we will be streaming LIVE VIDEO each day of the challenge (4-24 December, 2016).
With love and prayers to all of you,
Penina and Chelsea
