Prayer
O my God, O my Lord, O my Master! I beg Thee to forgive me for seeking any pleasure save Thy love, or any comfort except Thy nearness, or any delight besides Thy good-pleasure, or any existence other than communion with Thee.
(The Bab, Selections from the Writings of the Bab, p. 215)
Quotation
He should forgive the sinful, and never despise his low estate, for none knoweth what his own end shall be.
(Baha’u’llah, Gleanings from the Writings of Baha’u’llah, p. 265)

Songs
We Will Forgive
(tune of “Twinkle Twinkle”)
Sometimes life is lots of fun
We work and play and laugh a ton
We all have some hard times too
We make mistakes both me and you
When those hurts and tears happen
We will forgive and try again
I Will Say I’m Sorry
(tune of “Mary had a Little Lamb”)
When I bump into someone, or break something, or make a mess
When I yell or hurt someone
I will say I’m sorry
Sorry is a way to say, I know I should change my ways
When I need to make amends
I will say I’m sorry

Daily Activity #14:
There are many versions for this prayer. If you do not know one here are a few options to learn:
Is there any Remover of difficulties save God? Say: Praised be God! He is God! All are His servants, and all abide by His bidding!
(The Báb, Baha’i Prayers, p. 27)
Daily Activity #19:
Comments about the lesson
As usual this lesson was as much for me as it was for my children! It was very helpful to think about how much forgiveness plays a part in life.
Practicing saying “sorry” throughout the Daily Activities helped my four year old really think about what the words mean. Even if he cannot totally empathize at his stage of development, I think the activities did help him understand a bit more.
I really related to Daily Activity #9 and have called it to mind several times outside of our Radiant Hearts activities. What a practical way to understand what it means to carry around emotional baggage!
What child doesn’t enjoy mixing dirt and water (Daily Activity #11). Another hands-on way to understand why we should keep our hearts and minds pure and what it looks like when we choose to let unkind thoughts in.
We have been working a lot on choosing a positive way to deal with disappointment, so Daily Activity #16 was very helpful.
