More Ways to Use Radiant Hearts

This is the eighth page in the “Online Introduction to Radiant Hearts” series, focusing on sharing a few more ideas that can accompany the Radiant Hearts program.  Find more in the “Related Posts” section of the Radiant Hearts main page.

Display the spiritual quality and quotation of the month in your home.

Hang a chalk board or white board in your child’s play space and write up the spiritual quality of the month and quotation so everyone can refer to it often.  Let your child decorate the board at the beginning of each month.  You may like to add the name of the Baha’i month in English and Arabic.

Choose an Act of Service for your family to take part in.

As we learn the words of Baha’u’llah and try to live by His teachings, we are no doubt moved to perform acts of service for our community.  Taking this process into consideration, the Radiant Hearts program paves the way for three specific acts of service:

  • Teaching
  • Hosting a Devotional Program
  • Sharing Radiant Hearts with Other Children

Find ideas of how you can incorporate the Acts of Service into your life as a parent of young children using the Radiant Hearts materials on our Acts of Service page.  There are several pages under our Acts of Service category including suggestions and extra resources for how to use the Radiant Hearts materials for family devotionals, mother’s devotionals, Baha’i playgroups and simple classes for preschool children.

Give the Radiant Hearts materials to other caregivers for them to use.

If your child regularly spends time with another adult you may like to print out the Basic Lesson to give to other caregivers (such as nannies, babysitters, or grandparents) so they can sing the songs and do the Daily Activities with your child.  The link to the Online Lesson is on the last page of the Basic Lesson, so caregivers can easily log online to learn the songs and see photos for guidance.

Use the lessons for children’s programs.

Radiant Hearts music and Daily Activities can easily be used to create a children’s program for Feasts, Holy Days, or other community events.  Start with the prayer and quotation, sing one of the songs, and then prepare the materials for one or two of the Daily Activities for the group to complete.

Testimonials

"Having morning family prayers is something I grew up with, but having a systematic approach that infuses Baha’u’llah’s words, virtues, and music into your morning devotions really carries that spirit through the rest of the day..." Read more on our Testimonials page.
